Subarna Tripathi received her PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California San Diego. She worked with Professor Truong Nguyen and Professor Serge Belongie on object segmentation and detection. Subarna's research interests include computer vision and video processing. She was a member of Video Processing Group at UC San Diego and SE(3) Computer Vision Group at Cornell Tech. Currently she is working in Intel AI lab in San Diego.
Previously, she worked in STMicroelectronics in its Advanced System Technology (AST) group for over six years on computer vision and video processing in general. Prior to that she worked in Interra Systems on video analyzer.
She earned an MS (Electrical Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and a Bachelor of Technology (Computer Science and Engineering) from Kalyani Govt. Engineering College. She is from Kalyani, a beautiful town in West Bengal, India.
She likes to listen to Hindustani classical music. Some of her recent favourites are the renditions by Kishori Amonkar and again Kishori Amonkar and Kaushiki Chakraborty . Subarna enjoys singing as well.
