Research Interests

I study the accumulation and spatial distribution of human capital and their implications in a variety of contexts, such as the labor market, urbanization, migration, education and health. I leverage various sources of data and blend theoretical frameworks, structural estimation and empirical strategies to understand the causes and consequences of economic decisions in those areas. My job market paper develops a spatial general equilibrium model of heterogeneous agents with occupation selection, team matching and spatial sorting. Through structure estimation, I quantify the relative importance of firm-level skill complementarity in systematic sorting and urban agglomeration in China.
